LINDT is new partner of the Cologne Chocolate Museum
Aachen/Cologne, 23 March 2006 - The Cologne Chocolate Museum, founded in 1993 by the former chocolate maker and honorary citizen of Cologne, Dr. Hans Imhoff, and Lindt & Sprüngli form a partnership.

As of 23 March 2006, the Swiss chocolate makers and the internationally unique Cologne chocolate museum will collaborate in the areas of production and marketing. The twostoried chocolate production area - introducing visitors to the secrets of making chocolate - will be managed by Lindt & Sprüngli with immediate effect. LINDT’s Masters chocolatiers will make the famous GOLD BUNNY and other LINDT specialties before the eyes of more than 600,000 visitors a year. This new partnership was presented at a press conference by Dr. Imhoff himself, and his wife Gerburg. Dr. Hans Imhoff handed over the management of the production department to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli AG, Ernst Tanner, and the Managing Director of Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli GmbH in Germany, Dr. Adalbert Lechner.

'More than any other brand, LINDT stands worldwide for tradition, craftsmanship and premium quality. Our visitors can look forward to the ultimate in chocolate,' says Dr. Hans Imhoff. 'We’re looking forward to collaborating with the internationally unique chocolate museum and being able to give large numbers of visitors a closer insight into the fascinating world of chocolate. This highly skilled art and its long-standing tradition will be more clearly illustrated than ever before,' explains Ernst Tanner, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Lindt & Sprüngli Group. The museum will be supported on the production and marketing side by the nearby LINDT factory in Aachen, one of the Lindt & Sprüngli Group’s leading sites employing more than 1,500 people. The partners agree that production and the experience of the working chocolate museum will significantly benefit from the collaboration with LINDT. To mark the occasion, the epitome of classics among the LINDT products, an eight meter-tall GOLD BUNNY on a Rhine cruiser sailed past the chocolate museum.
